Communicating with Others on Climate Issues

Have you ever felt frustrated by your conversations with friends, family members or colleagues who are indifferent to or even deny the science of climate change? If so, donʼt miss NJPPNʼs Feb. 20th “Distinguished Expert Series” program where you will find the tools and information you need to communicate effectively on this complicated issue.

Professor Geoffrey Feinberg, will discuss the seminal research conducted by his team at the Yale University Project on Climate Communication. You will learn about the “six Americas,” each of whom view climate change through a different lens. You will have the opportunity to share personal experiences and develop strategies to win the climate change conversation. For more information.

Requests for Proposals: Highlands Regional Master Plan

The Highlands Council is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to aid in the development of a Highlands Regional Master Plan (RMP) Monitoring Program Recommendation Report (MPRR). Tasks include: compilation of appropriate indicators and milestones; facilitation of Stakeholder and Technical Advisory Committee meetings and public outreach sessions; development (with Council staff) of the MPRR and a proposed science and research agenda to update and enhance the knowledge base that supports the RMP. Complete details are available in the RFP.

Proposals must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. Friday, February 28, 2014. (read)
