Local Recovery Planning Managers
Responsible for professional level-planning and assistance in implementation of long-term recovery plans for municipalities affected by Superstorm Sandy. Job functions include: working closely with FEMA and its team of experts; conducting independent studies; assisting with local consensus-building; identifying, applying for and helping to manage rebuilding funds; and assistance with implementation of recovery and mitigation strategies. Prefer someone with an appropriate college degree, a minimum of five years’ experience in planning, economic and community development or city administration at a leadership level, knowledge of New Jersey’s housing, economic and community development programs, experience with grant writing, demonstrated written and public communications skills, tested project management and implementation experience.
