Since 2002, New Jersey Future has honored more than 100 projects with Smart Growth Awards. Winners are selected from a statewide public nomination process by an independent jury of professional developers, architects, planners and redevelopment experts. Judging the 2016 Smart Growth Awards were:

  • Andrew Hendry, president and chief executive officer of the New Jersey Utilities Association and a New Jersey Future trustee (chairman)
  • Jennifer Coffey, executive director of the Association of New Jersey Environmental Commissions
  • Eugene Diaz, principal at Prism Capital Partners LLC
  • Charles Latini PP AICP, managing partner at L&G Planning LLC and president of the New Jersey Chapter of the American Planning Association
