Honoring Brendan Byrne

November 20, 2011
4:00 pmto6:00 pm

New Jersey Future will host a soirée to honor former New Jersey governor Brendan T. Byrne. We’ll be offering hors d’oeuvres and an open bar, and a chance for you to come and chat with a true New Jersey visionary.

It’s difficult to overstate the impact that the leadership of Gov. Brendan T. Byrne had on the state of New Jersey. His administration put into place measures that continue today to make New Jersey a more prosperous and livable place, including protection of the Pinelands; sweeping fiscal reform, especially in public education; establishment of the first statewide public transit agency in the nation; restoration of the Hudson River waterfront; development of the state’s first water supply management plan; and creation of the state Economic Development Authority to attract business investment and jobs. His legacy endures to this day, and into the future.

Location: Morven, Princeton, N.J.
