AARP NJ Summit on Building Communities for All Ages

October 6, 2017
8:30 amto4:00 pm

A New Jersey Summit on Building Communities for All Ages

AARP believes no one’s possibilities should ever be limited by their age and seeks to find new solutions so that more people can live and age asthey choose.

Almost everyone wants to grow older in the home and neighborhood they have come to love. The desire to age-in-place creates a critical need for community planning and support to ensure health security, financial resilience, and personal fulfillment for all ages.

New Jersey’s population is changing. Over 20 percent of our residents are between 50-64 years old, and by 2030, nearly 1 in 5 residents will be age 65-plus. Yet, too many current and future New Jersey retirees are struggling with rising health care costs, little if any nest eggs, and high cost of living.

Building Communities for All Ages will bring together local, state, and federal policy makers, stakeholders, advocates, neighborhood leaders, and experts in the fields of health care, financial security, and livable communities for a day-long discussion about how New Jersey can better ensure we are age-ready for everyone.

Breakfast and Lunch included. Registration is free. Seats are limited.

Location: Princeton Marriott at Forrestal, 100 College Road East, Princeton NJ
