February 5, 2018
10:00 amto12:00 pm

Learn from two organizations how they are protecting their organizations from disaster.

Hunterdon Land Trust (HLT) had been preparing a comprehensive risk management plan addressing issues related to properties/tenants, staffing/volunteers, and information technology when disaster struck. A fire damaged HLT’s headquarters (located in a historic farmhouse on a 40-acre preserve with eight other buildings), disrupting operations, damaging property, and necessitating an expensive year-long recovery effort.

NJ Conservation Foundation was closed for several weeks without power after Hurricane Sandy. The organization has developed a disaster recovery/business continuity plan to help minimize critical business functions during a disaster.

Learn tips from your colleagues on what a plan should include as well as low to no cost tools and resources you can use to make your organization more resilient.
