New Jersey CSO Long Term Control Plan Workshop

December 10, 2015
12:30 pmto5:00 pm

Location: New Jersey Institute of Technology Campus Center, Newark

More information and registration

NACWAThe National Association of Clean Water Agencies (NACWA) is pleased to offer a half-day workshop for New Jersey clean water utilities and city departments on key issues related to planning and implementation of combined sewer overflow (CSO) long term control plans (LTCPs).  This timely workshop will be specifically tailored for New Jersey utilities and will provide beneficial insights and advice for clean water agencies and municipalities beginning the LTCP process.

The program will include presentations from both federal and New Jersey regulators discussing how they view LTCPs and the important opportunity New Jersey utilities have to pursue LTCPs through a permit approach; an analysis of the key legal and regulatory framework underlying the LTCP process from top clean water experts; and a series of case studies from clean water utilities that have already embarked on CSO LTCPs to share information on how their utilities approached the planning phase and what they have learned so far during implementation.  These case studies will provide an excellent opportunity to learn from peer utilities and discover how to reduce costs and build community support while achieving compliance.

This workshop, presented in association with Jersey Water Works (formerly known as the Urban Water Solutions Initiative, facilitated by New Jersey Future), will take place immediately following the New Jersey Urban Water Conference on December 10 at the New Jersey Institute of Technology in Newark.  Registration for the workshop is free, but requires a separate registration from the Urban Water Conference.  Please see the links on the top left of this webpage for more information.  Both NACWA members and non-NACWA members are invited to register.  Non-members should click on the “Create New Account” link on the registration page and follow the couple quick steps to set up a free NACWA account for registration.

NACWA is offering this workshop as a resource to the New Jersey clean water utility community in recognition of the recent CSO permits that have been issued to New Jersey utilities – and the related requirement for these utilities to develop and implement LTCPs.  If your utility or community is preparing to develop a LTCP, this event will provide you valuable information and guidance.

There is no charge to attend, but registration is required.
