Revitalizing areas around transit stations can help connect a community’s businesses, public spaces, residential areas and public transportation resources. But taking on such a project can be a major challenge. The Together North Jersey (TNJ) Efficient Task Force, the North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority (NJTPA) and Rutgers University’s Voorhees Transportation Center (VTC) have developed a new resource to help communities interested in creating a vibrant transit hub. This workshop will explore how you can use The Guidebook for Developing Transit Hub Strategic Plans to improve your community.

Newark’s Call to Collaboration brings together diverse individuals from across the City for a 2-day gathering under the central guiding question:

How can we work creatively and inclusively to grow healthy and sustainable neighborhoods, create inter-generational connection and economic opportunities for adults and your, and encourage community planning that is transparent and equitable in order to continue growing a vibrant city?
